Space Shuttle Astronaut to Visit Sandpoint Library
Remember the 2002 Space Shuttle mission that repaired the Hubble Space Telescope? On Monday, September 21, 2009 you will have the opportunity to meet a crew member from that Hubble mission. Former NASA astronaut Duane "Digger" Carey will be visiting the Sandpoint Library and will talk about his exciting career as a Space Shuttle pilot. The program is co-sponsored by NACA, the National Astronaut in the Classroom Association. NACA is coordinated by Chris Naccarato a teacher at Priest River Elementary School. The program will begin at 1:00 pm in the Meeting Rooms of the Sandpoint Library.
