NIC announces 2009-2010 Phi Theta Kappa inductees

Local students make list of those inducted to the Phi Theta Kappa honor society at North Idaho College.

North Idaho College recently announced the 2009-2010 inductees for NIC’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. Induction ceremonies were held in the fall and in the spring.

To be eligible, a student must have completed 12 credit hours of courses that can be applied to an associate’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Officers include President Patty Murk from Missoula, Mont.; Vice President Tricia O’Donnell and Secretary Jacaeri Hiller from Kellogg, Idaho; Scholarship Coordinator Kayla Lloyd and Fellowship Coordinator Eric Pezley from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Service Coordinator Jessica Barbee from Sandpoint, Idaho; and Public Relations Coordinator Cady Graves from Hayden, Idaho.

Phi Theta Kappa members receive membership benefits such as scholarships, local and national leadership and fellowship activities and the privilege of wearing the honors stole and tassel at NIC commencement.
