NIC to hold info session for radiography technology program

Those interested in North Idaho College’s radiography technology program are encouraged to attend an information session guiding prospective students through the admissions process at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 in NIC’s Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 102. North Idaho College will hold an information session guiding prospective students through the admissions process for the radiography technology program at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 in the Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 102.

Students will be applying for spring semester 2011. The program is a five-semester associate’s degree program that prepares students for careers as radiologic technologists in settings such as hospitals, clinics and imaging centers.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on required courses and must have completed course prerequisites as outlined with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

The program has a selective admissions process and program applications will be accepted through Oct. 1. NIC Health Professions and Nursing Division staff will walk students through the application process during the information session.

The session is free and open to anyone interested.

Applications are available in the Health Professions Office in the Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 257, in the NIC Admissions Office in Lee-Kildow Hall or by calling (208) 676-7132.
