The North Idaho College Foundation's Really BIG Raffle has sold out for the 16th consecutive year.

The North Idaho College Foundation’s Really BIG Raffle has sold out for the 16th year in a row, despite a slow start due to the current economic climate. The last of the raffle’s 5,000 tickets were sold late July 3.

“We are so proud to be part of a community that is willing to step up and support our mission of serving higher education even in the most difficult economic times,” said Kristen McFadden of the NIC Foundation. “The amount of support we have received in the past week has been truly amazing.”

All ticket holders and community members are invited to attend the Really BIG Raffle drawing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 in Fort Sherman Park on NIC’s main campus. The event will include live music, refreshments and various door prize giveaways.

Ticket holders need not be present to win the $300,000 grand prize house, the first prize $20,000 car, a second prize $10,000 boat, a third prize $3,500 travel package, fourth prize $2,000 shopping spree or early bird prizes (a $500 Costco gift card or $250 Fred Meyer fuel card).

Ticket holders must bring the bonus prize entry, which is on the end of each raffle ticket stub, to the event to enter to win bonus prizes including a North Idaho bed and breakfast getaway, Clearwater River fishing trip, Lake City Ford auto detail, Taryn Hecker Photography package or dinner for four at Wolf Lodge Steakhouse.

Entry for door prizes and the bonus prize begins at 5 p.m. and all entries must be entered by 7 p.m. to be eligible. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs to sit in during the event.
