Tickets are on sale now for North Idaho College Foundation’s Really BIG Raffle, in which ticket holders have the chance to win more than $300,000 in prizes, including a new home in Coeur d’Alene.

This year’s grand prize house is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom craftsman with 2,147 finished square feet of living area. The plan features an open living area, large kitchen with island and spacious master bedroom. The project has taken on a “green” theme this year and will showcase construction methods, systems and green materials that support energy efficiency and sustainability. Special features include a high efficiency heat pump, granite kitchen counters, gas fireplace and jetted master tub.

The house, valued at $265,000, is currently under construction at 2880 Marceille Drive in the Greenstone Coeur d’Alene Place neighborhood.

Other prizes include the first prize $20,000 car, second prize $10,000 boat, a third prize $3,500 travel package or the fourth prize $2,000 shopping spree. Winners may apply the cash value of their prize to the purchase of their choice.

This year marks the 17th year of the Really BIG Raffle, the college’s largest fund-raiser and proceeds are used to fund needs ranging from technology and equipment in the classrooms and laboratories to enhanced support for programs and students. The students enrolled in both the 10-month carpentry program and the two-year carpentry management program gain experience through participation in the construction of the house, under the supervision of instructor Dave McRae. All proceeds from the raffle stay at North Idaho College. Title sponsors for this project include Stock Building Supply and Greenstone Homes.

Tickets are $100 and only 5,000 tickets will be sold before the July 14, 2010 drawing. Purchase tickets by phone at (208) 769-3271 or visit www.nic.edu/rbr for more information.
