Trout Unlimited general membership meeting on December 8, 2010

Don Childress will present a program on fishing the Far East Russian peninsula of Kamchatka on December 8, 2010, at the Trout Unlimited general membership meeting.  Don has fished the Kamchatka peninsula twice and the presentation includes a pictorial tour of Moscow where his group spent three days en route.

Kamchatka is a part of the Pacific ‘ring of fire’, and along with volcanoes it has many free flowing rivers containing rainbow trout, grayling, char, steelhead and all five species of Pacific salmon.

The focus of Don’s presentation will be fly-fishing for large rainbow trout and a sea-run white spotted char, Kundzha. The TU meeting will be held at Di Lunas Restaurant in Sandpoint on December 8 and will begin with cocktails at 5:30, dinner at 6:30, and the program at 7:30.

The program is open to the public.
