November 29, help benefit the Friends of Scotchman Peaks

Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness Holiday Sip and Shop

The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness invites you to toast the holidays with us!  On the Monday after Thanksgiving, Nov 29th, when the family has gone home and the holiday season is just starting to swing, come out and shop in Scotchmans style, sipping all the way!

On Monday November 29th, the Pend d'Oreille Winery, on Cedar Street in Sandpoint, will host a special holiday "Sip and Shop" event from 4pm to 8pm, to benefit our wilderness efforts. The winery will donate 10% of proceeds from all sales during this event (including wine by the glass!).  Kick off the holiday shopping season in "wild" style - meet and mingle with other "Friends", do some seasonal shopping and enjoy a glass of holiday cheer!

See you at the winery!

Roughly 60 miles south of Canada, the 88,000 acre Scotchman Peaks roadless area spans the Idaho-Montana border.  Since the 1970s, when the U.S. Forest Service carried out extensive evaluations of lands suitable for wilderness, this rugged, scenic and biologically diverse portion of the Cabinet Mountains has been managed for its wilderness potential.  The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness is working to ensure permanent protection for the 88,000-acre Scotchman Peaks – one of the last and largest wild areas in the region – for the benefit of future generations.
