With over 3,400 'likes' and growing, the Facebook page to recall Tom Luna has announced their website is live. Visit here for information.

Organized by Boise's Nancy Berto, the site lists five staff officers, including two "statewide coordinators."

Registered as a non-partisan, Political Action Committee, the group says of their mission, "We are all working together to bring accountability to Idaho politics, to let our elected officials know that the days of not listening to their constituents is over." The group is planning a statewide petition drive on April 16.

Luna has drawn the ire of teachers and many public school supporters over his recommended sweeping changes to Idaho education this year. The three main bills before the Legislature detailing his proposals are Senate Bill 1108 which has passed and has been sent to Governor Otter for signing, Senate Bill 1110, and Senate Bill 1113, which has been returned to committee.

Beverly Tuel is working as the Bonner County Coordinator for the recall. If you'd like to help, you can email mbtuel(at)yahoo.com. Although her phone number is listed, be aware that she's getting a lot of calls and email is the best way to reach her at this time. At this time, volunteers are needed in each community to coordinate and help gather signatures on the petitions.
