Win Tickets to Boz Scaggs!

Supporting the local Disabled American Veterans can get you tickets to a music legend at this season's Festival at Sandpoint.

Hot ticket sales right now for the 2009 Festival at Sandpoint season are for Boz Scaggs, the mellow voice behind such 70s hits as "Lido Shuffle" and "Lowdown." Tickets to the Scaggs concert, which takes place on Saturday, August 8, are selling for $49.95 each.

Or, you can make a donation to the local Disabled American Veterans' Van Fund, and enter to win two patron passes to the show this year, donated by the River Journal. Patron passes, by the way, allow you guaranteed seating in the patron section (which chairs immediately in front of the grandstand) and entry through the patron gate just east of the main gate for the show. The lucky winners will also get a tour backstage - and who knows who you might meet there!

So how do you win? Through the month of July, make a donation to the Disabled American Veterans' Van Fund at any Panhandle State Bank. Write your name and telephone number on the receipt, and mail it to the River Journal (PO Box 151 Clark Fork, ID 83811) or drop it off in one of the ticket-drawing drop boxes located at the Tango Cafe (inside the downtown Sandpoint Panhandle Bank building), Keokee Publishing at 401 Church St., the Festival Office inside the Power House Building in Sandpoint, or at the Veterans' Assistance Office for Bonner County, located at 4100 McGhee Road, Suite B1.

You can also donate online to enter (in $5 increments) thanks to the Sandpoint General Store. Visit here to do so.

Support your local veterans and win a chance at one of the hottest shows this Festival season!
