Audience members are encouraged to attend “The Real Inspector Hound,” a one-act comedy by Tom Stoppard, at 7:30 p.m. April 21-24 in North Idaho College’s Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.

The North Idaho College theater department will present a one-act comedy by Tom Stoppard as its spring theater production April 21-24.

In “The Real Inspector Hound,” two critics watching a poorly written murder mystery find themselves in the middle of their own real-life murder mystery.

“The play within a play takes place at the turn of the century on the English moors, while the critics are in present day watching the play on stage,” said NIC Theater Director Joe Jacoby. “The images of moonlight and fog figure in to the play, along with the theater seats occupied by the critics.”

The play will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 21, 22, 23 and 24 in NIC’s Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.

Limited seating is available and there will be no late seating. Children 5 and younger will not be admitted. The play is free and open to the public.

The one-act play is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
