In the words of the festival's Artistic Director Adam LaMotte on the festival website:

"Set in the idyllic Clark Fork River Valley, steps from the Clark Fork River, the Montana Baroque Festival presents three exciting concerts each summer.  There's nothing quite like hearing the foot-tapping, heart-racing music of the baroque, played on ancient instruments by acclaimed instrumentalists in such a beautiful setting.  Our first concert this year will feature the world-renowned Monica Huggett in a flashy and daring display of virtuosity.  For the second and third nights we will be firing on all cylinders as we delve into some rockin' dueling fiddle (and recorder) music."

The 7th Annual Montana Baroque Festival is July 27-29, 2010.  These outdoor concerts are at 7pm Mountain Daylight Time each night on the grounds of Quinn's Hot Springs Resort.  Tickets are $15 each or $36 for the series of three concerts.  Tickets are available on-line from www.montanabaroquefestival.org or www.quinnshotsprings.com (lodging packages available).  Other outlets are: Missoula--Rockin' Rudy's and Morgenroth's Music.  Thompson Falls:  First Security Bank.  Plains:  First Security Bank,  Garden Gift and Floral, and Honeysuckle Natural Foods.

As a part of the festival, there will be a unique cultural exchange at the Salish-Kootenai People's Center in Pablo, Montana, July 28, 1-2:30.  There will be drumming, dancing, baroque fiddling, and feasting.

Each night of the festival there will be a silent auction to help bring these nine musicians for this event.  Also area student artists will display work they've produced as they listened to baroque music.
