This year when you ring in the New Year, you can support your party habit and at the same time support your community. The Angels over Sandpoint are throwing the Semi-Normal Semi- Formal New Year’s Eve Bash at the City Forum in Sandpoint.

The band this year is the Atomic Blues Band. Gail Fendley of the Angels

Over Sandpoint calls the band a “great band to dance to.”

Admission to the dance is $15.00 per person. The doors open at 8 PM, music begins at 9 PM. Admission includes gourmet hor d’oevres prepared by the Angels, Champagne tasting and party favors. A complete no host bar is also available to the revelers.

Besides ringing in the New Year the Fun, Funky and Fabulous Silent auction will add to the fun of the evening. Fendley said “Last year the items went from $5 to $500.00” This year looks like more of the same. Everything in the auction is donated. Local businesses are not approached because they are hit up so much this time of the year. Instead, many local artists are donating their works. Any individual may also donate items of value that they may not need but will be of value to others. To donate, call Fendley at 266-0503. More donations are needed to make it truly Fun, Funky and Fabulous.

Dress is comfortable for dancing; anything from “Semi-Normal to Semi-Formal.”

“This is a great way to give back to your community,” said Fendley, “even if you can’t attend, buy a ticket to show your support. The receipts of the fundraiser may help someone get to chemotherapy or support the Panida. It’s for the community.”

Eichardt’s Pub and Grill will feature Slow Motion Walter. The music will be funk and you can call 263-4008 for more details and prices.

Heading east, Hotel Hope is featuring dinner and dancing to ring in the New Year. The party includes a Prime Rib and seafood buffet featuring crab legs and salmon plus a midnight appetizer buffet,  appetizers, champagne toast, party favors and live Rock and Roll. Seating is limited so admission to this event is by reservation only. Call 208-264-6004.

Cabinet Mountain Bar in the heart of Clark Fork is also featuring Pistols and Pebbles for the New Year. Festivities begin whenever you want them to, but the music doesn’t start until 9 pm.

Also in Clark Fork, the Cabinet Mountain Calvary Fellowship is offering a drug and alcohol free concert and party at Clark Fork High School beginning at 8pm. Two local bands are scheduled to play and there will be games, prizes and snacks. Admission is free to this event designed for young adults. Children under the age of 12 who wish to attend must be accompanied by an adult. Call 266-1911 for more information.

On the Montana side of the state line Harwood House at Quinns in Paradise, will feature New Years Eve dinner specials and a live band.

At 9:00, the live band begins and they will serve snacks and drinks only. There is no admission charge, and the establishment is open to those 21 years of age and older.
