It’s all about great food, great music and a very good cause. The Memorial Community Center in Hope is celebrating their 27th Annual Bodacious Barbecue and you are invited to attend.

ü  The Barbeque will be held Saturday, July 17th beginning at 4pm at the beautiful Eigler Estate located at 31 Bass Lane in Hope.  It includes complimentary appetizers, a margarita bar, a wine bar as well as a BBQ dinner catered by Elissa Robbins of The Floating Restaurant.  Just a few of the menu items to tantalize your taste buds are: Barbecued Pork Ribs with hickory glaze, Barbecued Chicken with Orange-Teriyaki Glaze, Red Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, and Homemade Herb Breads.

ü  There is always plenty of fun on the water with dancing and both live and silent auctions.  Don’t forget to take part in the bucket raffles too!  The auctions include many one-of-a-kind items, such as a wine tasting and hors d’oeuvre cruise on the Shawnodese for 20 of your closest friends, original framed artwork by local artist Janene Grende, POAC season passes, a seasonal boat slip at Hope Marine Services, and much, much more!

ü  For your musical entertainment we have invited local musician, Johnnie Lawson of the "Bent Whiskers Band" to help us celebrate this wonderful event. You can bet on a night of fun and entertainment!

This summer event is the main fundraiser for the Community Center, which has been serving the area communities since the first Bodacious BBQ in the summer of 1984.

Tickets to the Bodacious Barbeque are $40 each and are available by stopping by the Center located at the intersection of Highway 200 and Centennial Road or by calling 264-5481 to charge by phone (MasterCard/Visa/Discover accepted).  The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 am to 12 noon.  Please call 264-5481 for more information.
