Major fundraiser for Sam Owen Fire District

On August 14, come enjoy a hearty breakfast of pancakes, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, orange juice and coffee at the Sam Owen Fire Station, corner of Hwy 200 and Peninsula Road in Hope, all provided by Kentucky Fried Chicken of Ponderay.From 8:00 to 10:30 a.m.; $5.50 adults; $2.50 children under 12.

After breakfast, tour the station, meet the firefighters, check out the engines, see how much a firefighter's equipment weighs, and take home handouts for the children.

This is the major fund-raiser for the Sam Owens Fire District !! The Sam Owen Fire District is committed to providing the highest level of fire protection and emergency services to all its residents, businesses and visitors.SOFD has a modern, central fire station complete with seven fully-equipped fire fighting and rescue vehicles.Our rescue vehicle is equipped with the latest in extrication and land and water rescue equipment. Our volunteer staff has been trained and equipped for both structure and wildlands fire fighting. Our four-wheel drive wildlands vehicle is equipped to reach our most remote areas and many of our volunteers have completed intensive training in wildlands fire fighting.
