This Labor Day Weekend, Tour the Libby Dam!

Tours are free and include an opportunity to walk on top of the dam and see a generator, view the inspiring Treaty Tower sculpture and enjoy views of eagles, osprey and other wildlife from an incredible vantage point above the beautiful Kootenai River. Come find out the secret of the naming of Koocanusa reservoir. Participants say "it's the best tour they've had by a dam-site!"

Commemorative "Dam Tour" t-shirts are also now available in more colors and sizes!

Bring your family and a picnic and enjoy the views of the lake from Souse Gulch recreational area.
There is also a challenging disc golf course near the visitor center, and great fishing in the river and reservoir!

Through Labor Day weekend:
Libby Dam Visitor Center will be open from 9:30am to 6pm and offering daily scheduled tours at 10am, Noon, 2pm and 4pm through Labor Day which is Monday, Sept. 5th, 2011.

After Labor Day, our hours will change:Libby Dam Visitor Center will be open to the public from Noon to 5pm, Monday through Saturday starting Sept 6th. Tours of the Dam will be available by Appointment. Please call: (406) 293-5577 to make arrangements.

Please note that we will be closed on Sundays through September.

Special September Saturday Opportunities: We will offer tours on SATURDAYS ONLY on the following 3 days: Sept 10th, Sept 17 and Sept 24. Tour times will be: 12:30pm, 2pm and 4pm. Please arrive at the visitor center 15 minutes early with photo ID (if over 18) to check in.
