Pend d’Oreille Winery is Moving

March, 2013 (Sandpoint, ID) We are excited to announce that the winery is moving!  Our current location, on the corner of 3rd and Cedar, has been a cherished and celebrated host for the last 11 years.  Yet now we have the opportunity to take stride into our next growth stage as a business and embrace a fantastic new accommodation - the historic Belwood building.   Funny enough, the Belwood building is diagonally across the street from the current winery so we will still be on the corner of 3rd and Cedar.

Belwood will host the tasting room, gift shop, and the Bistro Rouge Café restaurant.  The wine production portion of the business will move off site at our warehouse located on Boyer near the Sandpoint airport.

When will this take place?  Construction has already begun and we will officially be open for business at our new location on Friday, September 13th, 2013.  Our current site will remain open through the spring and summer with a grand finale closing weekend of our Harvest Party running September 6th-8th, featuring our annual grape stomp.

What will become of our current location?  MickDuff’s Brewing Company will be leasing the space from Sandpoint Property Management and using the facility as their new brewery.  They will still maintain their current location on 1st Avenue but will begin brewery operations at 3rd and Cedar.

The Belwood building was built in 1909 and originally housed Williams Mercantile and the Saint James Hotel and Cafe before conversion to a furniture store in 1916.  Over the years, ownership changed hands until Ernie Belwood purchased The Furniture Exchange business and building from his employers, the Jeffries family.  The building stood vacant of recent date until Julie and Steve Meyer purchased the building from the Belwood family.  To learn more about the project or lease opportunities for professional offices or retail, visit Belwood 301 on Facebook.

Any questions regarding the move and future of the winery, feel free to chat with us directly at the winery or email info@powine.com.

We are very excited to make our next growth and are thankful to all our loyal fans who make this move possible.

We look forward to seeing you at the Winery!
