Fire Spinning performance at the Clark Fork Library on July 25th

The Clark Fork Library invites families to attend a “fire spinning” program with Bio-luminesce, a performing arts troupe that promotes the use of bio-fuels while entertaining folks with bio-fuel powered fire shows.  Typically referred to as “fire spinning” or “fire twirling”, this ancient art involves lighting an object on fire and then spinning it until the flames burn out.  Humans throughout time have always been fascinated with fire and are always drawn to it.  Bioluminesce performers will use hula hoops, juggling pins and Hawaiian poi for their “fire spinning” performances.  The main message of Bio-luminesce is to remind folks that oil is a non-renewable resource and a source of toxic pollution.  Bio-luminesce encourages people to use sustainable fuels whenever possible and their fire spinning shows are proof that biodiesel fuel burns just as bright and just as long as carbon-based fuel, but without the high negative impacts.  Learn something about alternative energy, while enjoying a unique “fire spinning” performance accompanied by live music and recorded music.  The free program will be held outdoors at the Clark Fork Library on Saturday, July 25th from 7:30-9:30 pm.
