A ski and snowboard film highlighting the past 60 years of Warren Miller Entertainment.

North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits will present the latest winter sports film from Warren Miller Entertainment titled “Dynasty: Celebrating 60 Years of Filmmaking” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 in NIC’s Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.

This year’s film highlights Warren Miller Entertainment—its effect on the winter sports industry and humble beginnings 60 years ago.

General admission is $15 or $10 for NIC students, youths and senior citizens. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door or can be purchased in advance at the Outdoor Pursuits Office located on the lower level of NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building, the Ski Shack in Hayden and Inland Ski and Board in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

Lookout Pass is cosponsoring the event and will be distributing two-for-one lift ticket vouchers to all ticketholders. Other cosponsors include Schweitzer Mountain, Silver Mountain, the Ski Shack, Island Ski and Board, 95.3 KPND and Peak Adventures.

Prior to the film, students in the Resort/Recreation Management program and the NIC Snowriders Club will host the Turkey Bowl Rail Jam at 2 p.m. in the east Molstead Library parking lot near Hubbard Street.

Riders can sign up at 1 p.m. to participate in the rail jam. Cost to participate is $20 or $15 with a donation to the Toys for Tots program. The event is free to spectators.

“Snow is being hauled in from Eagles Ice Arena in Spokane,” said student and event coordinator Jayce Sharrai. “They donated as much snow as we can take, which will be roughly three tons. This is going to be a great event for participants and spectators alike.”

Sponsors include Merit, Alpinhaus, Spinny Bent and Inland Ski and Board and a raffle will be held for a pair of twin-tip skis.
