Six Star Automotive expands

Three years ago Paul Reichold and Robb Repp started Six Star Automotive, Inc.  Both owners have an extensive background as mechanics in the Sandpoint area. They each worked in several garages and dealerships, and while they were working together in another shop they met. Recognizing a similar vision, they decided to start their own business.
The business revved to life in a leased shop at 909 Hwy 2 West. Within a year they bought the building, as well as another just behind it.
They work on all cars but specialize in Asian Imports.
Initially the shop had three bays and a small office/waiting area. The two worked both as mechanics, business execs and janitors of the business. As demand for their services grew they hired two more employees for the shop.     Paul said “I was surprised how many of our customers from other places where we have worked followed us here.”
In April of 2001 they started selling used cars from the lot in front of the shop. Each car they sell has had a thorough pre-sale inspection, and all needed repairs and maintenance have been made. A limited warranty is put on all vehicles. “In addition, a national warranty is available at the time of the sale,” said Repp.
This spring, the duo expanded into the rest of the main building when the Family Time Video store moved out. The new space, about 700 square feet, gives them a new show room as well as expanding their office area and waiting room.
Along with the expansion, Six Star will be carrying the Thule accessories line. Thule offers roof racks as well as hitch racks. They have kits that allow many different uses of the rack. Bicycle, kayak, and ski racks as well as boxes are some of the uses for Thule Racks.
Six Star Automotive is now in overdrive, providing friendly service, a quality auto shop, dependable used cars and many accessories for any vehicle.
