North Idaho College's Outdoor Pursuits program is offering a rock climbing clinic for beginners in July.

Outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to take part in a three-day rock climbing clinic offered by North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits.

The clinic will be offered Mondays, July 6, 13 and 20. Participants will meet for the first session in the Outdoor Pursuits Office on the lower level of NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 6. Subsequent sessions will be held at Q’emiln Riverside Park in Post Falls.

The clinic is designed as an introduction to rock climbing for beginners and some rock climbing experience.

The clinic will cover safety training, knot tying, anchoring, belaying and climbing techniques.

Cost is $99 and includes all equipment and transportation. Space is limited.
