26th Annual Bodacious BBQ
Saturday, August 22nd
It’s all about great food, great music and a very good cause. The Memorial Community Center in Hope is celebrating their 26th Annual Bodacious Barbecue and you are invited to attend. The Barbeque will be held Saturday, August 22ND beginning at 4pm at the beautiful lakeshore homes of Jerry and Patty Clemons and Robert and Shirley Domes located at 451 Pringle Avenue in Hope. It includes complimentary appetizers, a margarita bar, and a wine bar as well as a BBQ dinner catered by John and Val Albi of Pend Oreille Pasta. Just a few of the menu items to tantalize your taste buds are: Brisket of Beef with Caramelized Onions in Red Wine Zinfandel Marinade, Pulled Pork Tenderloin, Tri Color Coleslaw with Wasabi Dressing, Baked Beans, and much more! There is always plenty of fun on the water with dancing and both live and silent auctions. Don’t forget to take part in the bucket raffles too! The auctions include many one-of-a-kind items, such as a wine tasting and hors d’oeuvre cruise on the Shawnodese for 20 of your closest friends, Janene Grende original artwork, a seasonal boat slip, POAC season passes, and much, much more! For your dancing enjoyment we have invited DJ “Rhythm Machine” to help us celebrate this wonderful event. John and Jeanette Roche of “Rhythm Machine” are ready to entertain us with a variety of musical favorites. You can bet on a night of fun and entertainment! This summer event is the main fundraiser for the Community Center, which has been serving the area communities since the first Bodacious BBQ in the summer of 1984. Tickets to the Bodacious Barbeque are $35 each and are available by stopping by the Center located at the intersection of Highway 200 and Centennial Road or by calling 264-5481 to charge by phone (MasterCard/Visa accepted). The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9 am to 12 noon. Please call 264-5481 for more information.Author info
