Angry Letters - But know your enemy

Angry letters and that's a good thing.

Yes, we send each other emails about those devil Democrats or those evil Republicans and we think we are illuminating the enemy, making the world a better place.  We think we know exactly who the enemy is and if we could just marginalize them, all would be better.  And that's better than simply no emotions at all, but we are playing checkers in a world of chess.  We have been seriously underestimating our enemy for generations.  By failing to understand this we no longer even understand what it is to win.

Sun Tzu in his "The Art of War," the oldest military treatise in the world, points out the importance of knowing your enemy when he says:

If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.
Just recently a very popular Blogger, Hal Turner was arrested for threatening judges and legislators.  But his arrest has led to a twisted sort of reality check.  A reality check of knowing how sophisticated your enemy really is and at what level the game is being played.  This man was trained by the FBI to be a provocateur.  His lawyer says this:
"His job was basically to publish information which would cause other parties to act in a manner which would lead to their arrest,"
Blogger Who Said Judges Deserve to Die Was Trained by FBI to Incite Others

This event is significant in reveling that the game is being played at another level.  And going further, if we are suckered into thinking the enemy is simply the opposite political party, then we are being 'played!'  We think we are playing checkers and the game is chess.  If we continue to fail to understand that in Washington DC there are simply two rival gangs fighting to determine who gets the spoils of a battle being waged against we the people, it's proof we neither know our enemy or ourselves and as Sun Tzu says, we will succumb in every battle.  And unless you simply haven't been paying attention you know this is the true state of affairs.
