NIC offers volleyball coaching clinic

NIC volleyball clinic designed specifically for high school, middle school and club coaches.

North Idaho College will offer a summer clinic for high school, junior high and club volleyball coaches from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7 and 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 in NIC’s Christianson Gym.

The Volleyball Coaching Clinic will be led by Stanford University men’s volleyball head coach John Kosty, who is entering his 19th season as a staff member of the Stanford men’s volleyball team. He has also been a part of the U.S. National Team as a player and coach.

Other camp staff includes NIC volleyball head coach Chris Kosty and director of the City Beach Volleyball Club in California Aaron Benning.

The clinic will cover practice planning, drills, playing styles, team fundamentals and coaching methodology.

Cost is $100 and includes a clinic handbook, dinner Aug. 7 and lunch Aug. 8. Space is limited.
